The workforce fashioned a “sturdy” offseason program for gamers and has leaned extra closely on newly employed assistants reminiscent of Steve Hetzel, Fernandez’s lead man on the bench who’s at present serving as head coach of the summer time league workforce, and Juwan Howard, whose fame speaks for itself. “It’s been nice,” second-year ahead Jalen Wilson stated of Hetzel’s management in Fernandez’s absence. “His depth, his consideration to element, I really feel like [he has]all the things we have to advance this summer time. From Day 1 he’s been high energy, wanting to get guys better in all different aspects — watching film, on the court.
