There are two hurdles with a Myles Turner deal. First, it’s unclear how out there he actually is. Given his impending free company, there’s a sense across the league Turner is sneakily gettable and could be had for the best worth. He’s going to be seeking a contract starting in the $30-plus million range annually, and the Pacers aren’t sure if they want to pay him that much, according to league sources. That needs to be factored into this equation if the Lakers commerce for him. Second, the Pacers would possible want a middle in return. They don’t seem to be a company that tanks, and giving up their beginning heart with out getting one other would possible trigger them to take a step again within the East.
